The upper portion of each mug is finished in Ancient Copper, a richly varied glaze that develops beautiful shades of copper, russet, bronze and warm brown during firing. The same glaze continues over the rim and throughout the interior, where its softly mottled finish becomes especially noticeable.
Below, the warmth of the copper gives way to a deep, smoky blue-black glaze, creating a striking horizon of color around each mug. Where the glazes meet, subtle variations of charcoal, blue, violet and earthy brown emerge, making every piece just a little different from the next.
